Evidence in a double homicide at The Shores last week will be presented by detectives to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office on Wednesday, authorities said.
Luis Alvarado-Meraz, 24, has been arrested in connection with the fatal shootings of his twin brother, Manuel, and Manuel’s 22-year-old wife, Lucero Rodriguez, in the apartment they all shared at The Shores last week.
Police think Rodriguez and Manuel Alvarado-Meraz were shot to death in the apartment complex on South Emporia at about 7 p.m. on Jan. 14. Their bodies were discovered early the next morning by a relative concerned about their welfare, police have said.
The twin brother was arrested on Murdock shortly after 11 a.m. on Jan. 15 and booked into the Sedgwick County Jail.
