The woman accused of stabbing a 90-year-old Haysville man on Tuesday was charged Thursday with attempted first-degree murder.
Kerri Leanne Telford, 25, of the 900 block of East Karla Court, remains in custody, Haysville Police Chief Jeff Whitfield said.
She is accused of cutting or stabbing the man with a kitchen knife shortly before 10:30 a.m. in the man’s home on Karla Court. Police said the two are related, but how is unknown.
After the man was hurt, he was able to make it to a neighbor’s house to call for help, Whitfield said. He is in critical condition, but is stable.
Telford is being held on $150,000 bond at the Sedgwick County Jail, records show.
