Two young males were shot multiple times as they stood outside a house near 13th and I-135 on Saturday night, police said.
The shooting was reported at 7:52 p.m. in the 1500 block of North New York, Sgt. Jason Cooley said. One of the victims was shot in the right upper back and lower right hip, according to emergency responder radio communications with a hospital. The second victim was shot in the elbow and leg.
Cooley said the victims, who are in their late teens or early 20s, did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
The shootings were not random, Cooley said, but it was unclear as of late Saturday night if the shooting was gang-related.
Yellow crime-scene tape shielded the front yard of the house and also across New York south of a church and next to where the shooting occurred. A police dog nosed through the grass in the east edge of McAdams Park across the street.
No information on possible suspects has been released.
