Man tells police he was punched, stomped and robbed

A 21-year-old man was punched, stomped on and had $230 taken from him as he was walking Saturday night in the 6700 block of E. Zimmerly, police said.

The incident was reported to Wichita police at 10:36 p.m. Saturday.

The man told police he was walking in the block near Harry and Lincoln when three men approached him and began punching and stomping him. They took his money and left in a black Toyota vehicle toward Harry, according to Sgt. Ed Brower,spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

The man also suffered a cut to his lip.
