A man reported he had his beer stolen Friday night after he was knocked out and dumped in the Arkansas River, police said.

The 47-year-old man told police four men attacked him about 8:25 p.m. near Murdock and Waco and hit him over the head with a rock, Sgt. Ron Hunt said Saturday.

After losing consciousness, the man told police the next thing he remembered was being dragged out of the river, Hunt said. He told police that his five containers of beer were gone.

The police report didn’t say who pulled the man out of river or if he was treated for injuries, Hunt said.
