The preliminary hearing for a man accused of killing a radio station employee has been continued to July 23.
Antwon D. Banks Sr., 31, is accused of murdering Daniel Flores, a Steckline Communications computer and audio equipment operator, on Feb. 9. Police have said Flores, 25, died from blunt force injuries.
Banks was arrested during a traffic stop in the 3900 block of North Woodlawn two days after Flores’ body was found by co-workers in the basement of Steckline Communications, 1632 S. Maize Road, which houses radio stations and the Mid America Ag Network.
Testimony at the Sedgwick County Courthouse so far had come from a Wichita police detective and a woman who identified herself as Banks’ girlfriend at the time of the incident.
