Fidelity Bank branch robbed in west Wichita

Authorities are searching for a man who robbed a Fidelity Bank branch Wednesday in west Wichita.

The robbery was reported at 10:43 a.m. at the branch at 9300 W. Central, a Sedgwick County 911 dispatcher said. That’s west of Tyler Road.

The suspect is a white man about 6 feet tall, according to information posted on the Wichita Police Department’s Facebook page. He has a mustache and was wearing sunglasses, a ball cap, blue jeans and a dark-colored jacket. He was also wearing a white shirt with either a vest or reversed backpack under his jacket. He was armed with a handgun at the time of the robbery.
