A Wichita man who pleaded no contest in January to furnishing alcohol to a 13-year-old girl and trying to sexually molest her was sentenced Thursday to 4 1/2 years in prison.
Prosecutors said Andrew Headding, 24, was staying at the home of a friend in October 2012 when he took the girl to the basement, forced her to drink vodka and played a “dirty” card game with her. Prosecutors said he then made her remove her clothes and molested her, and that a second incident involving the same girl occurred a month later.
District Judge Bruce Brown imposed the maximum sentence on Headding on one count each of aggravated indecent solicitation of a child, attempted aggravated indecent solicitation and furnishing alcohol to a minor. He ordered Headding to serve the sentences consecutively.
