Two more people were charged Wednesday in the July 5 fatal hit-and-run accident that killed a man and seriously injured a boy who were riding a horse.

Elease Childers, 29, and Colleen Fisher, 19, are each charged with felony counts of interference with law enforcement. They are scheduled for preliminary hearings on Nov. 20.

Prosecutors on Tuesday charged George Childers, 26, with two felony counts of failure to stop at an accident and one misdemeanor count of failure to stop at an accident. Saquaya White, 31, was charged with interference with law enforcement.

Wichita police said George Childers left the scene after driving a silver Mercury Grand Marquis into a horse being ridden by 49-year-old Lloyd Ferguson and 6-year-old Eddie Caddell on 21st Street near Piatt. They were struck by a second vehicle about a minute later. Ferguson died of his injuries, and the boy was seriously hurt.

Police said it took nearly a month before a Crime Stoppers tip led them to the Grand Marquis, which was parked in a garage in the 2900 block of North Coolidge.
