Police are interviewing witnesses and reviewing video for clues to the identity of the man who robbed a Walgreens in southeast Wichita on Monday night.

The armed man came into the store at 5505 E. Harry, on the southwest corner of Harry and Edgemoor, at about 7:45 p.m., pointed a gun at the cashier and told her not to scream, Lt. Doug Nolte said. She backed away from the register and he reached in and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

He then left the store and drove away in a gray Honda sedan, the clerk told police. He is described as a black man, who is 6-foot-5 and 190 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and has a thin build, the clerk said.

He wore a light blue polo shirt with horizontal stripes, as well as black sunglasses and a black bandanna.

There were several customers in the store at the time of the robbery, Nolte said, but no one was hurt in the incident.
