Wichita police released a description Sunday of a suspect in Saturday's Southwest National Bank robbery.
The robbery occurred at 10:50 a.m. Saturday at 454 S. Tracy.
Police are searching for a white male between 25 and 35 years of age. He is 6 feet tall and weighs between 150 and 170 pounds, according to Sgt. Bill Stevens, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.
The man has dark hair, which he wears in a buzz cut, and a neatly trimmed goatee. He was last seen wearing a black ball cap with white on the front; white Oakley sunglasses he placed on top of the hat; a gray zip-up shirt and dark pants.
"There was also a possible/probable suspect waiting in a gray older-model Jeep Cherokee outside the bank," Stevens said Sunday.
Shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday, the man walked into the bank carrying a blue bag. He told one of the tellers it was a robbery and demanded money, Stevens said.
After the robbery, the suspect climbed into the Jeep Cherokee, which was last seen driving south from the bank.
"We have a witness description but we also have a video from the bank," Stevens said.
The video and additional pictures will likely be released to the public today, he said.
