A Wichita man who was on parole for taking indecent liberties with a child in 2004 has been arrested again and charged with soliciting a minor over the Internet.
Shane McClelland, 24, is being held on $50,000 bond on a charge of soliciting a child under 16 to commit or submit to an unlawful sex act.
A preliminary hearing for McClelland, which was originally scheduled for Wednesday, was continued until Sept. 16.
Court records show that McClelland is accused of soliciting a person he believed to be a teenager in July or early August.

The Wichita-Sedgwick County Exploited and Missing Child Unit, which patrols the Internet for sexual predators, investigated the case.
Kansas Department of Corrections records show that McClelland was paroled in May 2009 after serving about four years in prison on a charge of fondling a child under the age of 14.
