Baby punches himself in Wichita couple’s ultrasound (+video)
E.J. Watson isn’t even born yet, and already he’s confusing Mom.
And going viral.
Vanessa Watson, the proud Wichita mom, watched him punch himself during an ultrasound on Monday. The 5 1/2-month-old fetus made a fist and clocked himself so hard that he jolted his head back.
Everybody can laugh now; the video of her ultrasound has picked up 70,000 views as of Thursday morning, from all over the world. She’s getting calls from everywhere, including the Daily Mail in Britain. It’s all fun.
But when he did it, it startled everybody. “He just knocked himself,” Vanessa said. “What’s going on?” said Vanessa’s mother, Monica Medina, who was watching with her.
“I wanted to ask him, ‘Why are you knocking yourself, boy?’” Vanessa said.
“The nurse doing the ultrasound said that in 20 years she’s never seen anything like that.”
Watching the boy move inside her womb on previous ultrasounds had brought Vanessa to tears. He’s her first child.
Now he goes and does this.
“We were worried,” Watson said. “We asked, is he OK? Is he OK? The nurse laughed and said, ‘He’s OK.’”
She and her husband, Dave, are saving all the video and all the stories running around the world, she said, “so that E.J. can see all this craziness one day.”
