The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office wrote 40 citations for seat belt violations during a weeklong saturation patrol over the Thanksgiving holiday.
The patrol ran from Nov. 24 to 30. In addition to the seat belt violations, seven people were arrested for driving with a suspended license, and two were arrested for DUI.
Another three citations were issued for improper child restraints. Ten deputies participated in the special patrol, which was paid for by a grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation.
