Authorities shut down traffic on West Kellogg late Thursday night in response to a semi leaking diesel fuel.
Sedgwick County emergency dispatch said the big rig was “hanging off a bridge” and spilling the fuel at Kellogg and Mid-Continent Drive. Dispatchers received the first calls about the semi about 10:20 p.m. All lanes of eastbound and westbound Kellogg have been closed as a precaution, dispatch said.
Hazardous materials crews were en route to the scene shortly after 10:30 p.m. It immediately unclear how long the highway would remain closed.
No injuries had been reported by 10:45 p.m. Thursday, dispatch said. Further details, including what caused the semi to go off the bridge, were not immediately available.
