Oaklawn Clothes ’N Stuff, the thrift shop built in a former strip club building, is set for its grand opening Monday.
Paul Dohm, executive director of His Helping Hands, will be on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m., along with officials from places such as Countryside Christian Church, Central Christian Church and Lighthouse Community Church.
The store, 4858 S. Clifton, stocks everything from knick-knacks to clothes to furniture, said Justin Thelen, who manages it. It has been open for business since April 6.
“We’ve had the soft opening, worked all the bugs out, and now we’re ready for a grand opening,” he said.
His Helping Hands, an outreach of Central Christian Church, has been rehabilitating the building since September. The store will be staffed almost entirely be volunteers.
The store’s hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
