The Hutchinson Police Department and the Kansas Highway Patrol will conduct a DUI sobriety checkpoint in the city this weekend.
Roadside field sobriety tests will be given to drivers who are suspected of having consumed alcohol, according to a post on the police department’s Facebook page. If they are found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, they will be arrested.
“Please know the medication you are taking and what it can do to impair your driving,” the post stated. “If you are prescribed medication that impairs your driving, you will still be accountable for DUI if you are found to be impaired.”
The time and location of the checkpoint was not released.
