ORIGINAL STORY: About 1,300 Westar Energy customers were without power in northwest Wichita early Monday morning, according to an outage map on the utility’s website.
Some stoplights in the area are also out, according to scanner traffic. Drivers should treat each intersection as a four-way stop.
The outage, in the area of 29th and Maize Road, was first reported just after 7 a.m. on Monday. Power was expected to be returned, the website said, by 9 a.m.
