She wanted to rescue a line of baby ducks from traffic as they crossed a busy street in northwest Wichita late Monday night.
But the 57-year-old woman’s good intentions led to a trip to the hospital instead, according to a police report.
When she stepped out into the street shortly after 9 p.m. in the 9800 block of West 21st Street, she was struck by a red Chrysler Towne and Country traveling west. Fortunately, her injuries were not critical.
She was treated and released.
