A woman found unresponsive in a swimming pool in northeast Wichita late Thursday afternoon remains in critical condition at a local hospital, police said Friday.

The 35-year-old woman was found by her boyfriend in the pool of the Heritage, 1441 N. Rock Road, at about 5:40 p.m. Thursday, police have said. She was taken to Wesley Medical Center by ambulance.

“Alcohol was involved” in the incident, Lt. James Espinoza said Friday.

The woman’s boyfriend was with her at the pool, Espinoza said, but it’s not known how long she was unresponsive in the pool before the boyfriend asked her father to call 911.
