Fire damages apartment building in El Dorado

Fire broke out at an El Dorado apartment complex Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The fire was reported just after 6:45 a.m. at Pinebrook Apartments, 1920 W. Towanda, in El Dorado, according to a Butler County dispatcher. “A couple of people” suffered light smoke inhalation as a result of the fire, he said.

The fire was extinguished shortly before 7:15 a.m. The apartment building was evacuated.

No cause or damage estimate has been released yet.
