Final public hearing Monday for Sedgwick County’s 2015 budget

The public has a last chance to sound off about Sedgwick County’s proposed budget for next year at a hearing Monday.
The final public hearing will be at 9 a.m. Monday in the county commission meeting room on the third floor of the courthouse, 525 N. Main.
County Manager William Buchanan has recommended a $421,355,378 budget for next year that adds an ambulance crew, a prosecutor for child-in-need-of-care cases and a detective for the Exploited and Missing Child Unit.
Commissioners will vote on next year’s spending plan at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
