Share the Season is an annual campaign that offers one-time aid to people affected by unforeseen hardships. The people are not identified to protect their privacy.
The 28-year-old mother of three goes to school full time and works part time at a women's recovery center.
She's in nursing school and this past semester had to put in more hours for clinicals. That cut back on the amount of time she had to work.
Her children are ages 9, 7 and 16 months.

"I try to work as much as possible as well as spend quality time with my children," she wrote on her Share the Season application.
"I was just in a financial bind with this being Christmas season," she said.
Share the Season has helped pay her utilities, phone and cable.
"I'm very grateful," she said. "The cable is my internet and it is just easier to have internet access."
