A man injured in a pickup accident in southwest Sedgwick County on Monday night died early Tuesday, the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office said.
The man has been identified as George Ring, 45, of Wichita. His 4-year-old daughter, Cyndye, died at the accident scene Monday night.
Ring was driving north on Ridge Road near 71st Street South at about 8:30 p.m. when another motorist saw him run a stop sign at a high rate of speed, lose control of his Isuzu pickup and crash in the east ditch, where it overturned and caught fire, Capt. George Mason said.
Ring was ejected, and the pickup landed on top of him, Mason said. He was taken to the burn unit of Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis, where he died at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday.

His daughter was found still in her seat belt in the burned vehicle, Mason said. It is not clear yet whether she died in the crash or in the resulting fire.
"It was a horrendous accident," Mason said.
Ring was a home remodeler, and there may have been materials in the truck bed that helped fuel the fire, which spread to surrounding grassland, Mason said. Firefighters had to work hard to contain the fire, he said.
Fire investigators are attempting to determine what started and accelerated the blaze, he said.
"There are so many different things that could have caused the fire," Mason said.
