Mid-Kansas Women's Center has moved its west-side office to a new location, 3460 N. Ridge Road, Suite 130.
The move brings the retail and office center to 81 percent occupancy, said Dan Unruh of InSite Real Estate Group, who handled the lease.
The center was informally called the Hearth and Home Center after a former anchor tenant. Current tenants are a mix of medical and retail, Unruh said.
"We're pleased that we were able to put this transaction together in a tough market to further enhance the tenant mix in what has become one of the leading medical corridors in the Wichita market," Unruh said. Ridge Road has a number of medical offices between K-96 and 29th Street North.
Mid-Kansas Women's Center is leasing 2,675 square feet, nearly double the space it had at its old location, southwest of 21st and Ridge Road.
"We were running out of space," said Jeff Gamble, administrator. "Really, only one doctor could be there at a time. We basically doubled our size, so two doctors could be there concurrently."
Mid-Kansas Women's Center, which has an east office at 9300 E. 29th St. North, offers complete women's health services.
Gamble said the practice has five physicians and one physician assistant; a sixth physician, Aldon Corle, will join the practice in July. All seven will see patients at both locations.
"We have seen an increase in the number of patients living on the west side," Gamble said, creating the need for more space.
The new site also offers door-side parking and good street visibility, he said.
Foulston Construction was the contractor for the remodeling, Unruh said.
