On St. Patrick’s Day this year, Chris Tincher stood near the front of his Todd Brian’s Brick Street Cafe & Tavern in Old Town Square and wondered where the people were.
There were plenty of people partying in Old Town that night, but the square was fairly empty.
Tincher has ideas about filling it up, though he wants to get to know his neighbors better first so they can work together on future events for the area.
Tincher opened the restaurant in February in the former Imbiss Grille space.
Previously, Tincher spent his career working for others, including Amarillo Grill, P.F. Chang’s, Piztros and Ted’s Montana Grill.
You know, I’m knocking the door on 40, and I figured if I didn’t do it now, I might never get it done, and there is no part of me that would have ever been OK with that. It’s part of who I am. I’ve been working for this day for a long time.
