In case there was any doubt that Hardee’s is working on a deal for its third Wichita restaurant, there’s now proof at city offices.
In May, Have You Heard? reported that although no one is talking yet, it sounds as if a Hardee’s deal is close to being finalized at former QuikTrip space at the northeast corner of Harry and Hillside and that the chain would open in a new building there.
A contractor has now submitted plans to the city. That’s still not a guarantee the project will go forward, but it’s looking likely.
Since Hardee’s re-entered the market, the first new Hardee’s opened early this year at New Leaf Plaza at the southwest corner of 21st and Amidon.
Never miss a local story.
The second is in Derby across from the Derby Marketplace.
Typically, once construction starts, it takes about three months for a new Hardee’s to open. We’ll keep you posted.
