The new Sweet Allie B’s restaurant, which is next to Allie Tylski’s catering business of the same name, at 707 N. Waco, is having a soft opening.
For now, hours are 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
“We already are living here enough right now,” Tylski says.
Tylski mostly is serving soups, sandwiches and wraps that have been popular on her catering menu and that people kept requesting as single orders.
“We have a really awesome roast beef po’ boy that we’re doing,” she says.
She also has a caprese sandwich on a toasted pretzel bun.
“Ladies love it,” Tylski says of the mozzarella cheese, Roma tomato and basil sandwich. “You can get a few men to eat it, but men like meat.”
She says she has a number of gluten-free options as well.
Eventually, when she’s hired enough help and trained them, Tylski says she’ll keep the restaurant open through evening hours.
