Aaron Wirtz still believes buying a car doesn’t have to suck, but he’s no longer the media and marketing manager for Super Car Guys and Subaru of Wichita.
He’s the new Internet sales trainer and digital marketing consultant for Kain Automotive, David Kain’s automotive consultancy in Lexington, Ky.
“He’s a pretty big name, I would say, in the automotive business,” Wirtz says.
“He tweeted out, ‘I’m hiring,’ ” says Wirtz, who is a well-known presence on Twitter himself. “So we got to talking, and it seemed like it would be a fit.”

Wirtz isn’t moving to Kentucky.
“It’s kind of a travel-based position,” he says of his job.
Half his time will be spent visiting his clients’ dealerships, and half the time he’ll be doing client support from here.
Wirtz, who is well-known for his sometimes wacky commercials for Super Car Guys, will continue to star in them and help write them.
“I didn’t want to leave them hanging on that,” he says.
“I am happy that my connection … has remained strong,” Wirtz says. “Really, this transition couldn’t have worked out better.”
