Beth Tully says that the saying about when a door closes somewhere a window opens really is true.
She says about the time Commerce Bank recently was suing her and her Cocoa Dolce Artisan Chocolates over a loan, she got a great marketing opportunity through Treatsie.
Treatsie delivers monthly gourmet sweets to subscribers and this month included Cocoa Dolce’s dark chocolate caramel pecan bar.
“It was a neat, serendipitous moment, because they just found us and liked us,” Tully says.

Tully has had other marketing and wholesale opportunities in which she found “they really want an arm and a leg” to participate.
Treatsie was different, she says.
“We actually made money on this deal,” Tully says. “We’re looking forward to our next opportunity with them.”
The deal with Treatsie comes as Tully is trying to recover from an unsuccessful venture with a Kansas City store.
“In the midst of a really crappy time, we got this really terrific opportunity.”
