Southfork developer Jay Maxwell has landed a second deal for his development at the southwest corner of 47th Street South and I-135.
Issa Group, which includes restaurateurs and brothers Ty, Ali and Mike Issa, has a contract to purchase ground along the turnpike for the company’s fourth IHOP.
“We signed a contract to purchase ground in there,” says Ty Issa.
The deal is expected to close in February. Construction likely will start in the second quarter, and the restaurant should open by late summer or early fall.
“I think we will do the new version of their prototype,” Issa says of a new, more modern IHOP look.
The Issas also own Larkspur Bistro & Bar, Ya Ya’s EuroBistro, Hereford House, Scotch & Sirloin and Heat Cigar & Hookah Lounge.
Maxwell expects to finalize a deal with QuikTrip for the chain to build on seven acres at 47th and Hydraulic.
Though nothing else is signed yet, Maxwell says there’s more news coming soon.
“I’ve got a bunch in the works.”
