Some observant west-siders have noticed a development application at the northeast corner of 37th and Ridge Road, across from the new QuikTrip.
Developer Marv Schellenberg has plans for a 148-acre mixed-use development that will have an emphasis on residential.
“It’s probably the first big plat since I don’t know when,” he says. “It’s going to be a really unique development when I get done with it.”
Schellenberg doesn’t want to share too much yet but promises more information – and artist’s images – in about a month.
Never miss a local story.
Infrastructure work likely will begin in late September or early October. Construction on houses should begin by late this year, and streets will be in by April.
“It sounds like a long ways off, but it’s right around the corner,” Schellenberg says.
He says residents probably can start moving in by late spring.
“We’re on a fast pace to get it done.”
