Texas-based Buchanan Technologies is moving and expanding its Wichita office.
“It’s primarily due to growth,” says Tom Nieuwhof, director of support center operations.
The Wichita office is part of Buchanan’s support center division, which provides technology service solutions for employees and customers of companies nationally and internationally.
“We need a larger space to accommodate growth and to better accommodate our employees’ working environment,” Nieuwhof says.
Currently the Wichita office has about 40 employees.
“We do plan on growing in the fourth quarter and throughout 2015,” Nieuwhof says.
He’s not sure how many employees that may mean.
“It’s really hard to say.”
The Wichita office is now in 2,300 square feet in the Omni Office Park at 111 S. Whittier.
“We’re nearly doubling our footprint,” Nieuwhof says of moving to the Northrock Business Park, which is at 3450 N. Rock Road.
The new space will be more than 4,000 square feet.
Northrock’s Ross Way and Marty Gilchrist of J.P. Weigand & Sons handled the deal.
Nieuwhof says he expects to be moving on Jan. 15 and be fully operational in the new space by Feb. 1.
