Hot Asana Yoga Studio is so hot, owner Gina Pasquariello is opening a second location.
“The stars kind of seemed to align,” she says.
Her first studio is on the west side near 21st and Ridge Road.
The new one will be near 21st and Rock Road in the Shops at Tallgrass where Satya Moon Yoga used to be.
Never miss a local story.
“Since that space was available, it seemed like such a great opportunity,” Pasquariello says. “The facilities are amazing.”
Satya is opening in Cambridge Market at 21st and Webb Road on Sept. 1.
Pasquariello says she has east-side clients who travel west and regularly request that she open east.
“People literally ask every single day.”
Most of Pasquariello’s classes are in a studio that is between 95 and 98 degrees.
“The classes are a balance between strength and flexibility,” she says. “It’s a challenging, more athletic style of yoga.”
There are moves such as handstands and arm balances that her classes do.
“They help you build so much confidence … beyond the physical strength and flexibility,” Pasquariello says. “It becomes symbolic of not giving up and perseverance.”
She says some of the moves may seem impossible, but before people know it, they can do them.
“It’s a pretty exciting feeling, and that’s what happens around here every day.”
Pasquariello used to teach in the Tallgrass space when it was Firefly Yoga Studio.
“It almost feels like coming home.”
Craig Simon of Landmark Commercial Real Estate handled the deal.
Pasquariello doesn’t have an opening date yet but says it will be in early September.
After opening her studio three years ago, Pasquariello got married the next year, expanded to a new west-side site the following year and now is getting a second studio as she goes into the studio’s fourth year.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen next year,” she says. “I’m sure it’s beyond what I can imagine right now.”
