Beechcraft said it had a strong finish to 2013, with a 50 percent increase in deliveries during the last three months of the year.
The company shipped 72 King Airs, Barons and Bonanzas to customers in the quarter, up from 48 for the same time a year ago. It also delivered four military T-6 trainers.
For the year, Beechcraft delivered 205 planes, up 64 percent from 125 in 2012. In addition, it delivered 34 T-6 military trainers and six Hawker 4000 business jets.
Hawker Beechcraft stopped producing business jets during its Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. It emerged from bankruptcy as a smaller company, called Beechcraft, in February 2013 focused on production of King Air, Baron and Bonanza airplanes, its military products and aftermarket support.

“The Beechcraft team worked collectively to put this company in a strong position in 2013, which began with a solid first quarter and momentum that continued throughout the year,” Bill Boisture, Beechcraft CEO, said in a statement.
At the same time, Beechcraft had its highest booking rates for orders in years and solid revenue from servicing Hawker and Beechcraft airplanes, he said.
“It’s safe to call our first year as a standalone company a success,” he said.
Last year, Beechcraft won what it calls the largest order for general aviation propeller aircraft in history, with an order for up to 105 King Air 350i airplanes valued at $1.4 billion to Wheels Up.
In late December, the company announced that it would be acquired by Textron, Cessna’s parent company, for $1.4 billion.
The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the first half of this year.
