Textron Aviation said Thursday that its Cessna Aircraft subsidiary took a firm order for 25 Cessna Skyhawk 172s from an Indonesian flight school.
The order from the Sekolah Tinggi Penerbangan Indonesia flight school was announced at the Singapore Airshow.
Deliveries of the single-piston engine airplanes, manufactured at the company’s plant in Independence, are expected to begin later this year and continue through 2017.
The aircraft will be used to train 300 students at one of the school’s eight locations.
Textron Aviation didn’t disclose the value of the order.
