Boeing said Korean Air on Thursday finalized an order for 30 737 Maxs and two more 777-300 extended-range jetliners.
Boeing said the order is valued at nearly $4 billion at list prices.
Korean Air becomes Boeing’s newest airline customer for its newest generation 737 with Thursday’s order, Boeing said. Spirit AeroSystems builds the fuselage and other components of the 737 Max.
The airline operates a fleet of 91 Boeing passenger airplanes comprising 737s, 747s and 777s. It also operates an all-Boeing cargo fleet of 28 747-400s, 747-8s and 777s.
Korean Air has 62 firm Boeing orders on backlog.
