Eric Ritzman came to Wichita to attend Newman University on a golf scholarship, met his wife and and decided to stick around.
“It was one of those things where never did I see myself getting into aviation, but when people offer you a job. … I've been hooked ever since and I don't see myself getting out of it.”
Never miss a local story.
A native of Omaha, Ritzman earned a degree in business management and Six Sigma certification for process improvement from Newman in 2007. He worked as manager of inside sales and repairs at PWI, an aviation technology company, and then in multiple roles at the Triumph Group, a major aerospace supplier, before joining True Blue Power as a senior account manager in 2014. True Blue, a division of Mid-Continent Instrument Co., designs and manufactures power solutions for the aviation industry.
"I was responsible for the majority of OEM accounts, and now I have responsibility for all account managers within True Blue," he said.
Ritzman and his wife, Danielle, have two daughters: Avery, 5; and Harper, 2. Most of his free time is taken up with them, he said.
“I barely play (golf) anymore. I get out on the golf once in a while but still definitely have a competitiveness to me.”
