DOT’s King elected to head regional group

Mike King, state transportation secretary, has been elected president of the Mid America Association of State Transportation Officials.
King was elected at MAASTO’s annual meeting, which was held last week in Indianapolis, according to a news release.
MAASTO is a consortium of states whose goal is “to foster the development, operation and maintenance of an integrated and balanced transportation system that adequately serves the transportation needs of the 10 member states,” according to the release.The group also includes Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri and Kentucky.
