KC Fed survey finds increase in manufacturing in region

The Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank said regional manufacturing activity moved a bit higher in July.
According to the bank's survey of manufacturers in the Tenth District, factories reported slightly faster growth for the month.
The Fed also said future hiring and capital spending plans were the highest in six months.
The Tenth District includes the western third of Missouri, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Wyoming and the northern half of New Mexico.
