Physician Samrah Mansoor and Mansoor Tahir will have a grand opening and open house at AFC/Doctors Express urgent-care franchise from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 3161 N. Rock Road, Suite A. The event will include water bottle giveaways, free meningitis vaccinations for the first 25 children and a raffle for a free kayak. The event also will serve as a fundraiser for the Meningitis Foundation of America and to raise awareness about the disease. The urgent-care clinic’s normal operating hours will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week.
Young Professionals of Wichita has launched a redesigned website at www.ypwichita.org. Armstrong Chamberlin assisted in the redesign.
Verizon Wireless made a $23,825 grant to StepStone in Wichita, which provides support services and transitional housing to victims of domestic violence.
Shelter Insurance Cos. awarded $5,000 to the Haysville Education Foundation. The grant was awarded as part of the company’s Facebook essay contest called “Thankful for Our Communities.” Susan Armstrong of Haysville was one of the contest’s four winners, each of whom designated a $5,000 grant to the charity of her choice.
