IMA Financial Group said it has merged with Overland Park-based commercial insurance agency in a deal in which IMA will be the successor company.
IMA said the merger with Corporate Insurance Group will include retaining its president, George “Mac” M. Humphries III.
Corporate Insurance Group is a privately held agency with an emphasis on commercial property and casualty insurance for large and mid-market companies based in the Midwest. Its clients include firms in health care, governmental and transportation industries, as well as state and local government organizations.
Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed.
IMA has 500 employees working from offices in Dallas, Denver, Kansas City, Topeka and Wichita.
