Sunflower Health Plan to hold ribbon-cutting event

Sunflower Health Plan – one of the three managed care companies that oversee the state’s privatized Medicaid program, KanCare – is holding a ribbon cutting for its Wichita satellite office at 11 a.m. Friday at 2024 N. Woodlawn, One Brittany Place, Suite 212, according to a news release.

Sunflower Health Plan president and CEO Mike McKinney, office staff, representatives from the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce and elected officials are expected to attend.

The company, which is a subsidiary of Centene, employs more than 300 people in Kansas and oversees the care of more than 145,000 Medicaid recipients.

The company also has offices in Lenexa and Topeka.
