The Kansas City Federal Reserve District reports that manufacturing activity in the district slowed somewhat in June, although producers’ expectations for the future changed little, remaining at solid levels.

Firms noted some difficulty in finding skilled workers, especially welders, engineers and machinists.

Prices for both raw goods and finished products dropped moderately in June, after rising for several months.

The district includes Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Wyoming, the northern half of New Mexico and the western third of Missouri.
