Wichita area foreclosure rates continue to decline

The home foreclosure rate in the Wichita area continued to trend down in April, according to a newly released report from real estate analysis firm CoreLogic.
The report found that foreclosure rates had declined 27 percent compared to April 2013.
Slightly less than 1 percent of all mortgages in the area were in foreclosure in April, down from 1.31 percent a year ago. Also in April, 3.59 percent of Wichita area mortgage loans were 90 days or more delinquent, compared to 3.83 percent for the same period last year.
The national foreclosure rate is 1.77 percent, and the national delinquency rate is 4.54 percent.
