Via Christi Clinic, 9211 E. 21st St. North, will no longer offer dedicated aesthetic services, such as chemical peels, facials, Botox injections and laser hair removal, according to a news release.

The clinic will discontinue the services as of June 28.

Three or four non-medical staff positions at the clinic will be impacted by the change, according to a Via Christi spokeswoman.

The service was added about 10 years ago. Jack Shellito, vascular surgeon and chief clinical physician for Via Christi Clinic said in the release that other providers offer the services now, which has led Via Christi to re-evaluate the service and devote resources to other areas.

Some of the services will continue to be offered by individual physicians affiliated with the clinic through their office practices.

Dermatologist Kesha Buster, family physician Betty Troutman and Shellito will continue to see patients at the clinic. Plastic surgeon Richard DeSplinter will also continue to provide some services at the clinic.
