Wichita area hiring will pick up in the three months starting July 1, according to the Manpower Employment Outlook Survey.
According to the survey, 19 percent of the companies interviewed plan to hire more employees in the coming three months, while 4 percent expect to reduce staff, for a net 15 percent. That is ahead of the net 9 percent in the previous survey for April through June, and 14 percent for the July through September quarter of 2013.
As always, the great majority of area employers — 76 percent in the most recent survey — expect to maintain their workforce at the current level.
Manpower Group, based in Milwaukee, is an international employment company.
