Workforce Center prepares for move next weekend

The Wichita Workforce Center will relocate next month to a permanent location, the Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas said.

The Wichita Workforce Center will relocate next month to a permanent location, the Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas said.

The center, currently at 1220 E. First in the former Goodwill space, will close June 6 and re-open June 9 at 2021 N. Amidon, Suite 1100, in the New Leaf Plaza.

The center and Workforce Alliance offices moved last fall from the former Commerce Bank building at 150 N. Main because of building maintenance issues, including the gas service being shut off.

The center provides multiple employment and training resources for job seekers and employers.
