The Sedgwick County Health Department is marking National Employee Health and Fitness Day by sponsoring the Ninth Annual Walk at Work on May 21.
Events will include a Sedgwick County employee walk that day as well as individual walks sponsored by 93 area employers, according to a news release from the county.
Employers will be competing for a first, second, or third place Wellness Cup trophy with the number of employees who walk that day in three categories: small employer with fewer than 100 employees, medium employer with 101 to 500 employees, and large employer with more than 500 employees.
For more information and to receive free promotional posters, employers should contact Shelley Rick at firstname.lastname@example.org or 316-660-7387.
