The Kansas Academy of Family Physicians, which represents more than 1,000 family practitioners across the state, has named Kevin Hoppock the 2014 Physician of the Year, according to a news release.
Hoppock works at Via Christi Clinic and has practiced for 22 years.
He is a graduate of Wichita State University and the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed the Wesley Family Medicine Residency Program.
Nominations for the award came from community members, and a selection committee determined the winner from those nominations.
Hoppock will be honored during the organization’s annual meeting in Overland Park June 6.
